This question comes up from time to time so I thought I’d take a minute to address some of the important reasons why you would want to purchase, and stay current on, your Siemens software maintenance coverage.
Siemens PLM software has created and administers to a best-in-class suite of software products that perform complex tasks. If you’ve purchased any of Siemens PLM line of software solutions you’ve likely paid a premium price for good reason. You were likely referred to, or sold on, the performance of these products for your business so they have become an important part of your organizations tool set. These products are high-end, often requiring specific training and receive constant updates to both improve on features and resolve bugs.
If I were to make an analogy I would compare this to having an expensive car. You will likely want to purchase an extended warranty on your vehicle to insure you have coverage for issues and make sure your investment is protected. Similarly, when purchasing a critical tool for your business that drives production or manufacturing, it’s important to ensure you have coverage in the form of issues patches and knowledgeable support.
