In this video, I will show you how to use 3 of the main techniques available in your 5 axis bundle.
VARIABLE-AXIS SURFACE CONTOURING
Variable contour operations finish areas on contoured surfaces by removing material along the part contours. You can control the Tool Axis and Projection Vector options to create tool paths to follow the contours of very complex surfaces.
A subset of Variable-axis Surface Contouring, Contour Profiling is used to swarf cut by creating a single
(or multiple) passes that follow a single profile.
Sequential Milling is designed to machine a series of edge-to-edge surfaces in succession. It is used to finish surfaces after the area has been roughed out using Planar or Cavity Milling. By using Sequential Mill, you are able to carefully follow surface contours using three, four, or 5 axis tool movements while exercising a high degree of control over each sub-operation of the tool path.
